I Believe That I am an Island

I Believe That I am an Island

I believe that I am an Island and nobody else is there
I do what I must to survive and no one else really cares
I believe that I am an Island and I live all alone every day
I struggle to just survive the sun and the crashing waves
I believe that I am an Island without any needs at all
I do what I have to do, the ocean is my 4 walls
I believe that I am an Island and nobody else is there
Morning, noon and night time, I'm lonely and I'm bare
I believe that I am an Island, floating my life away
Nothing washes ashore, no one fishes my bay
I believe that I am an Island, with only the seabirds to share
I'll do what I have to do and no one else knows or cares
