(an angels grief)

I failed to protect you, And now you are gone, I was there on your birthday, and I saw you were born.
I looked after you, and guarded your life,
I was there in the good times, and there in the strife. I really loved you, you couldn't see me.
An angel for you was all I could be.
I whispered to you, and gave you advice. I wanted for you, for a life to be nice.
Then you fell in love, to a girl of your dreams, I walked away, all I could do was just scream.
But she broke your heart, and I wasn't there.
You were left in a world, and thought no one cared?
You took your life, and I wasn't there!
Why did you do this?
Its simply not fair!
I failed to protect you. And now you are gone, I cry as it rains, by your grave in the storm.
