Poem -

I Do

I Do

I left you a note on the kitchen table
Hoping you would be alright
Praying that you and I would be able
To go on living our lives

The autumn air is just as chilling
As the words that we both said
While I walk with this broken feeling
You softly dream in bed

I remember the day, the very first
It was love at first sight
But this day is truly the worst
It is our final night

I try not to, but my tears climb down
From my eyes, and to my lips
Once bared a smile, now cradle a frown
And thirst for the taste of your kiss

The subway rattles, whines, and shakes
Much like our love does to
I hope and pray that when you wake
You won't hurt as much as I do

Thank you. I'm not in a sad mood or anything, I'm just testing my skills on scenarios such as this one. I've done some positive ones now I want to see if I can create more emotionally touching ones.
