I Don't Have To Be Poetic

I Don't Have To Be Poetic

In a world where sense of sight
Has taken over,
Imagination dulls
No respect of our former selves
Depreciating the value of experience,
I find beauty once again
Amongst a sea of floating ugliness,
With words to supplant expression
To describe to vent
Make mesmerizing ideas present,
I feel for the lost
They seek not nor
Can be helped
Of closed mindedness,
If only I can show what
Words have meant for me,
I know I don't have to be so poetic
But where's all the fun in life.
