Poem -

I fetched the child

I have fetched the child
Behold him
I have fetched the child
With pride
I am full of child
And years pass
I have raised the child
At last

Have fetched the child to leave me
To fetch a child his own
But feel no wretched suffering
For Mother I'm still known

I fetch the child for buriel
This being I have birthed
God have gone dismissed me
Has killed my very own

I fetch the child to gardens
To lay his very bones
No longer am I Mother
Just woman all alone
