I Got A Dance With An Angel

One night in the Fall as stars shone so bright, I ventured out to a dance;

With dreams, of course, I’d meet someone, and then find some true romance!

But the odds on that were a million to one, as I’d tried for many years;

But that night I saw an angel fair, and moved closer her be near!

I saw her halo shining bright, upon her sacred face;

Then my heart sent out a message me, “I’d love to her embrace”!

I looked her way and she smiled, I felt some unknown heat;

I asked her if she’d like to dance, and me she’d care to meet!

My heart was pounding wildly, till I heard her then reply;

She said “Oh yes, I’d really love to”, and to the dance floor did we fly!

We waltzed for many hours, and spoke about our pasts;

Beneath the stars we kissed goodnight, and then the die was cast!

I called her eight hours later, to meet again that night;

Then for four days we climbed mountains, and found Nirvana’s site!

We pledged our love forever, for we knew it planned by fate;

I got a dance with an angel, but found my true soulmate!
