I Had A Dream

One night I had a vision, I prayed for it come true;

In it I met my soulmate, the next night I met you!

I saw you from across the room, I said, “I think I know that face”;

It’s the same one in my dream last night, and to your side I raced!

You looked up and you smiled at me, my heart and knees went numb;

I tried to speak, but I could not, for a moment, I went dumb!

And then I heard the words I spoke, “Would you care to dance with me?”;

You nodded yes, and said “Of course”, I was happy as could be!

Since that dance we’ve held so close, two score and four years joined as one;

Two soulmates that had finally met, our lives had just begun!

I’m looking forward to many more, The Golden Years with you;

The one who God made just for me, the one I love so true!
