I HAD A DREAM (my 100th poem on Cosmo)
I am Simeon he said,
he who Ā came to me in a dream
He took myĀ hand,led me toĀ a
brilliantĀ light thatĀ felt sereneĀ
Together we walked through the light,
he said child, be not afraid
Heart pounding in my chest,
no sense inĀ thisĀ dream, beingĀ displayed
We reach the otherside of the light, we are atĀ a train station
a train there, waiting for us to board
I think where is theĀ destination you take me?
oh howĀ afraid i am,pleaseĀ take care of me lord
We are on the train i look at the people sittingĀ all aroundĀ
I realizeĀ they areĀ myĀ loved ones passed
in my head thinking,Ā am iĀ heaven bound
I see my adored grandparents i see my
dear fatherĀ with the biggest smile
I want to go to them tell them
i loveĀ them,Ā talk to them for awhileĀ
But although i see them they don`tĀ see me,
i know i canĀ only observe
So i just take in every beautiful detail
for my memory to preserve
Then a sadness comes over me
i am bereft i am torn to shreds
As i see my mother step father friend
i scream no! this can not be,Ā they are not dead
Simeon holds me, comforts and soothes myĀ tears
I know nowĀ the meaning inĀ the dream
and i am filled with untold fears
As we go back through the light i know
in my heart, of what isĀ soon to come
A premonition of loved ones passingĀ on,
their journey to heaven,Ā includingĀ my beloved mum...
Ā Note Ā I had this DreamĀ April 2014 my best friend passed 2 weeks laterĀ
my stepfather passed that October, my precious mum passed December 2015Ā

i said i had never heard of anyone by the name of Simeon
You gave me great comfort telling me about him and i believe it to be him
This was a bitter sweet dream so lovely seeing my loved ones well Ā and happy
but also the premonition of what was to come.Ā i had told you i had`nt
told anyone of this dream, but i think talking to you and Tony about itĀ
gave me confidence to write about it IĀ Thank you both for that for i don`t feel afraid ofĀ

Thank you for this poem. It really touched me. I too, have premonitions. I actually died in 1989, and have never felt the same about death, nor viewed the earth the same.Ā I had a wonderful afterlife experience, and ask God to let me come back to raise my children. He allowed me my request! I have never been afraid of death since.....it is simply a passageway between the Lord and me!Ā I tease my children now, since they are older.....that when God calls me Home next time....I'm outta here! LOL

I understand completely. I use to not share mine as openly either...but they are truth! I have many poems about angels.......because I have seen real ones! I love God. I think it is wonderful how he allows his children to be let in on Heavenly secrets sometimes! I am like you, once I started sharing, I have met many like us who have experienced the same!

This is amazing, so sorry for your losses. Did you find it comforting after the fact? to know that all of your loved ones were together? Your writing tells the experience with such emotion that I'm still a little conflicted. Does one feel comfort, sadness, or anger? I Ā felt comforted initially in the dream ,but i felt anxiousĀ
knowing what i had dreamed the feeling of when will this happen.Ā
Although i saw my best friend on the train it was still a shock when she passed
Two weeks later, and after all three had passed which in my heart i knew they wouldĀ
soon after the dream. i still felt anger hurt and pain in grief.
My mothers passing took me very low.
I don`t like to have these dreams premonitions they drain me and make me anxious
to be honest.
