I Just Want To Feel Like I Belong

November.10.2000
Β Trisha Barrek Hopkins

I just want to feel like I belong
Like I fit in
Is that so wrong
Or is that too much of a sin

I want to be a part of the game
Not the one who's being played for a fool
I don't want to be called a different name
Why do you have to make up such a stupid rule

If your not like us
Then you can't be a part of our friends
It hurts and tares up my heart
So much in my life sometimes I wish it would end
I just wanted to fit in from the start

It feels like everyone is against me
And deep down inside it's killing every part
Why can't they see
That they are destroying my heart
Why can't they let me beΒ

Why can't they just be my friend
Why they see me cry
A shoulder why won't they lend
No they rather see me die

I just want to feel like I belong
Just to know I'm a part of something
The feeling is a great one
Just like when you listen to a favorite song
