Out In The Mountains

September.25.1998
Β Trisha Barrek Hopkins

Out in the mountains
I see a dove
Sitting on a fountain
A sight so beautiful you could love
Silky skin
Eyes as blue as the sky
Tall and thin
But not up high

It's smile so bright
The purest heart
A trance you don't fightΒ
You want to be its other part
You see the light
You always want it from the start
But too late it goes up in frieght
You beg it back
To have a snack
Just to talk
Or to go for a walk

clouds so puffy and clear
Promising not a tear
Just stay and listen
Just to hear
To see the moment glisten

Out in the mountains
Up so high and far
Remembering the fountain
Wishing on that star
Knowing your love isn't that far
Wanting to forever love
That day in the mountains
Something you can count on
