I Kissed A Rhinoceros

I Kissed A Rhinoceros

In June of nineteen ninety-four, we took a journey long;

From Boston all the way to California, for business and some song!

A marriage and lots of relatives, we were heading there to see;

We made lots of money on our way out, and were happy as could be!

We stayed near Linda’s nephew’s house, Ray and his lovely wife Valerie;

We made plans to go to one of the San Diego zoos, the Wild Safari to see!

We rode the monorail around the park, and saw animals run in files;

We also saw people who rode in fast Jeeps, and saw Rhinoceri running wild!

A couple of hours later, I saw a sight so very rare;

A rhinoceros was grazing, at the very edge of the plains right there!

He was fifteen feet beneath me, as I leaned upon the fence;

I got within eight feet of his large horn, my heartbeat was intense!

He looked up and let out large snorts, as my camera recorded this epiphany;

The most exciting thing I’d ever known, a rhinoceros standing close to me!

I will never forget that experience, the story never pales;

About the day I kissed a rhinoceros, and lived to tell the tale!

Actually,

Good sir...I think you'll find that I am an Admiral...a Five Star Admiral!

Commanding astride the seven seas!! Wearily searching for a port to call home...like The Flying Dutchman!!!

Dear J,

There is something flying alright, but it's not a "Dutchman"!  Also, if you are looking for a great port, they say "Cockburn's Vintage Porto, is one of the world's best.

You see, Larry...

That sounds great. But I honestly don't think I could look a barman (or anyone, for that matter) in the face and ask for something with the word 'Cockburn' in it!!

I have a very vivid, visual imagination and, frankly...I really wish I didn't right now!!!

My Dear Brother Tony,

Your words are truly a pleasure to my ears too.  As I told Cherie, it was the first time in my life that I ever worried about another male being "horny".  Ha, Ha!!!  Thanks for always being there.

Peace, Love and Rockets,

Larry xxx

Hmmm!

Kissing a rhino.

I'd be afraid to kiss a rhino on it's nose...cause they're kinda horny.

(Sorry sometimes I just can't help myself)

Thanks Larry for sharing such a sweet uplifting write.

Hi Kimmy,

Before I kissed him, I checked under his legs to make sure he was a male.  (Sorry back, just like you, sometimes I can't help myself)  Thank you for sharing your humor.

Peace and Love,

Larry xxx
