I know her pain.

I found these tears just the other day
They weren't mine,I wasn't hurt,I wasn't sad
as far as I knew I was happy,I was glad,

I wondered where they came from
I wondered what they ment,

could it just be, that they were heaven sent

They swelled in my eyes, becoming a dripping mirror
IN that moment everything became clearer

the reflection of she, I could see, I could feel
deepest inside of me, they were her tears falling,

it was her heart calling out to love him
they just escaped from my eyes
draped upon my skin,

It was then I felt the suffering
it was then I understood her pain

Love had left her broken, returning to me
yet once again,

I tried so hard to stop them
but falling they continued to do
Smoothering my face with tissues
the tears kept seeping through,

I cannot find the words, nor can I let him go
once inside my heart, trapped no where to go

I try to say I'm sorry, his love simply was not hers
but the words they sprout red roses
slicing my throat like angry burrs,

I'd like to say she'll be fine
such words a foolish mind,

a love like his a heaven, and hell so easily bind
Scared my eyes in vision, her pain has sent me blind.
