There was a day, I was happy, and I saw your big smile.

That day I felt I was so proud and worthwhile,

Thereafter I am always happy as I know you are always there.

There was a day, when I was scared, in my dreams I was there,

I cried and I cried, for a little while,

But when I open my eyes and turn my face, you were there all by my side,

Thereafter I am never scared as I know you are always there.

There was a day, when I was in pain,

But the tears that rolled, was not mine, but yours sweet mum,

Thereafter all my pain was gone, as I know you are always there.

There was a day, when I was excited, the first time when I saw the world.

In that world I saw a loving face, and that was of your mum,

Thereafter all my excitement has been with you as I know you are always there.

There will be a day when I will be happy,

There will be a day when I will be scared,

There will be a day when I will be pain,

There will be a day when I will be excited,

But I know one thing that there will never be a day, without your love my sweet mum.
