I LISTENED

Who is that man sitting so all alone ?
No longer a wife and his kids have flown
Looks like he could do with a chat
Will take it upon myself to do just that

I listen to his life with a smile and a nod
One day nearer he says meeting with God
This man has led such an interesting life
I was right about his kids and his wife

Time soon went I bid this man goodbye
Interesting life I said but not saying why
He said tomorrow it's his turn to die
Wished him well was my only reply
