I Long For You

I Long For You

I long for you
as do trees
that slip between
mountainous hills,
Like life in the shadows
sunless and shunned
under canopies
of larger creation.
I long for you
without metaphor
a touch, a smell,
that reminds one
about human emotion
and the simplicity of
nature's purpose
amongst all complexities
unnecessarily thrusted upon
forced to endure.
Still I long for you......
Keeping that pollution
from minding
left with pure thought
on love's growth,
bringing shadows to light
thoroughly exploring
those hills between,
showing what life has meant
hope, you understand.....
what I mean.
