I miss the warmth of your arms around me

holding me until I fall asleep.

I miss the sound of you breathing beside me

and your kisses on my cheeks.

I miss the warmth in your eyes when I laugh

your love surrounds me when I cry.

I miss you when I sleep I miss you when I cry

I miss you only when I'm alone and still I don't know why.

I admit it was hard to let you go

because I loved you more than you could ever know.

I miss your arms around me when I weep

rocking me back and fourth like a child

holding, cradling, protecting until the tears subcide.

I miss you when I sleep and I miss you when I wake

I've cried enough rivers to fill a whole lake

and what were all those tears for?
