Poem -

I never knew

I never knew

I never knew
as I was in
My own shell
the day you
Slipped by
Into a decision
Of fatal
Consequences

I never knew
that my ignorance
Could lead
Me
Down  a rabbit
Hole
Where
Digging myself
Out
Would
become increasingly
An impossibility

Fresh memories
Are brushed
By
rusty nails
That
are drilled
In my
Senses
No Paris
At the Moment
more like
PERRIS
BUT
I am
getting
there
