I Perish Emotion

I perish emotion, and die the death—if only to glimpse glory.
My faith threshed in barbwire. But Morning Star, a pumping
Pulse. My blood, the fount of spirit: my heart, a tornado: and
I perish emotion. Speak the hell, my tender mayfly.
Suffocate the anguish. For silence, a gut to rot. And such
Torture, a welted mind. Thus, the panic, a breathing death.
[Selah] My dear amore, a bleeding sky; but such flight, a
Flaming soul. I’m wrapped in mercy, fraught with hell,
Kneeling the five wounds. My wick eternal: my tear floral: and
My dear amore, a river flood. Thus the mystic, vim and verve:
Thus the pain, seraph wings: and such majesty, a wailing
Breath. [Selah] I trek the bleeding sky: I dance diamond blood:
My soul picked: the vault, fraught with ghosts: and
Heaven, the reach of pearls…. I perish emotion.
