I pray for disorder

I pray for disorder

It is amid the night when I kneel at the foot of my bed,
When I whisper to God all the things left unsaid,
With all my love and my pain,
With all my loss and my gain-
It is then that I pray for disorder.
 '
The cold hands of a sinner are sewed together with good intents,
My voice is quietly shaking as my body repents,
To God I admit every flaw,
Every misdeed my eyes saw-
As I start to pray for disorder
 '
A faith that abandoned me delivered me to the hands of hell,
Their chorus of angels begin to sound like a funeral bell,
Their perfection is silent,
And my descent is violent-
While i pray for disorder.
 '
I tore the curtains from the windows and the sheets from the bed,
Cut a hole in my reality and from that wound I bled,
Kicking and screaming,
Sleep without dreaming-
I begin to shape my disorder.
 '
My hands wrote a book and tore the pages from the spine,
My chaos grows and grows as the words do entwine,
Like a fire it spits and burns,
And like a beast it yearns-
As I rejoice in my disorder.
 '
I feel the ache in my heart as my lips arch into a prayer,
This time I pray that there is a God, somewhere up there,
Who watches me devastate,
And lies silently in await-
For the day I stop praying for disorder.
