I Remember Mama

I Remember Mama

Happy Birthday my dear Mother, I’m sending all my love up to you;
On Monday, if you were still with us, you would be a hundred and two!
Oh the good times we had together, when I’d visit six times a year;
On business trips up from Florida, so happy again to be near!
.
I’d take you with me often, to see clients and sell them some art;
This photo shows us together, at one’s fine gallery mart!
Then we’d go for a gourmet dinner, for two hours we’d wine and dine;
I would spend the night at your place, for these days I ever do pine!
.
Oft times we are back together, in dreams I have at night;
Seeming like they are reality, until you sadly fade out of sight!
I’ll be thinking about you on Monday, remembering the parties we had;
Wondering if you’re up in Heaven, having a great one with Dad!
.
.
Happy Birthday Mom
Eighty-two candles your last
Two decades of tears
