I Save My Words

Press your ear to my lips and feel the breath of truth.
You are my only truth, my living breath.
We two are one, creatures of flame and desire,
Ignited by love, fuelled by fervor
To seek your touch is to find sustenance that
slates even the longest thirst,
and replenishes endlessly.
I will hold your voice within a shell and listen into eternity,
that sweet, honeyed sound that fills a chamber of
lost dreams and desires.
I am that sun, hidden by the unseen moon,
that orbits your heart and gives you prism light,
and in a mute world where words are
valueless and exhausted,
I save my words,
for only you.

Loki,Â
That was just amazing! Oh my gosh, I'm thinking maybe not my honorary Grammy anymore, but my honorary Ghost Writer!Â
What a gorgeous piece of poetry. I just LOVE those last 4 lines.Â
Why can't I write like that??!!Â
Great job, Grammy! You rule!!Â
Matthew.Â
My lovely, you need no Ghost Writer..no one can compare with your original thoughts and the order in which you so splendidly transcribe them..I am thrilled that you liked this piece though...My stuff of late has been pretty depressing and I felt it was time to hang a rainbow in the sky ..so to speak -and as always love hearing from my Honorary ! ..Grammy xx
Hi Grammy,Â
Awww...thank you! You're always a rainbow in the sky to me.Â
Thanks for being so great!Â
Matthew.Â
Hi Lodgingwithanna,Â
Roberto Parrotlegg III here. I have to admit, I was mesmerized by your gorgeous poem. And while I think you have made a grave mistake by adopting that dork Matt, I'm astounded that you can write so well with such obvious bad taste in step-children, but to each her own, I suppose.Â
Please check out some of my poems when you have a chance, including:Â
I Think My Hair Is On Backwards;
Ernesto, The Misanthropic Hamster;Â
Fleas In My Gr**n Area;Â
The Sand Ticks of Babel; andÂ
Monkeys for Breakfast...Again.Â
I've also begun penning a new poem called I Save My Words, which should be out soon, once I get finished copying it...I MEAN WRITING IT! It's quite good.Â
Roberto, but you can call me Legg.Â
