i'll call it an ambush
these speakers are my soldiers
she smirks
you're no revolutionary

she says
nay, but i dare
i mold culture and topple nature
all from my aging coupe,

i say
and she laughs
but she likes the song playing too loud
they'll call their mounted police,

she says
but she knows i'm faster
and anyway, chica
we'll still end up in elysium,

i say
and our sound bombards their ramparts
of fool's gold and drywall 
you're no hero,

they say
their jet black asphalt 
thrown up in the air
you're a punk,

she says
the Two is the wide path to heaven 
and we hide among the sinners
we're on our way up,

i say
more smirking 
sankara would be proud but
watch where you're going,

she says
