Poem -

a western

twelve dollar fee per
hour here, fifty
for the whole day and there
they don't tell you until
you get caught in the
bramble
nothing here is public and
they ain't friendly to
curious passers-by
the Sunset here is actually
a starless midnight
(celestial bodies are an optional
extra)
Roxy is no exception but
I earned myself an
exclusive invitation inside
she truly is an
enclave of electric hospitality
standing room only but
they won't charge you
for that
so hear this, meter maids,
tow truck drivers and dictators
of the civilized frontier
seek elsewhere, devils, for your
worthless material
gains
