I SHALL ARISE AND GO NOW

I shall arise and go now,

Brush my teeth and blow my nose now.

Cover his shoulders with the duvet,

Feed the cat. Do the dishes, maybe.

I shall arise and phone home,

Wandering around in his kimono.

Say: Hallo, I got delayed.

I’ll see you soon. We’ll have a drink.

I shall arise and go now.

(Can’t hear me coz he’s fast asleep.)

I’ll go back to cats and a stinking sink

And smile and sing and lie and creep.
