Surrender

My Lord, My love, future and hope
Take my hand lord, lead me too
The place I need to be for you
In worship, love and truth
A new life designed by you
I've forgotten who I am
Can't remember what To do
I've lost myself along the way
To many rainy days
left me scared and afraid
I'm shamed and tired and getting old
Remember how I used to be so bold
When I think back of what used to be
I realize now, it was never me
Was it all a test God to refine me
I feel like ashes and broken memories
Is this the place you wanted me
At the very end of my rope
Desperately holding on to my only hope
At this point everyone believes I'm absurd
To wait so long for what you promised
While decades pass let's be honest
In the worlds view I am insane
To continue to speak about your name
It seems to them It will never be
And my life can't be reversed
At this point it looks more like a curse
Help me God to hold on tighter
And fill me with more of you
I even believe you'll restore my youth
One day soon, they all will see
That you never forgot me
Your timing is perfect and it needed to be
The way it is, for your purposes see
