I Want To See The Beautiful Me...

I want to see it,

I want to believe it,

I just want to understand,

Why everyone thinks I'm so beautiful,
Ā 

They say it's not just the outside,

But the inside too,

What I see when I look in the mirror,

Isn't beauty,

It's no where near it,

Why can't I see it too,

People still put me down,

Maybe that's the problem,

I hate myself,
Ā 

If anyone hurts me the most,

It's myself,

I hurt myself,

Mentally and physically,

Cutting and calling myself names,
Ā 

Why can't I see it,

The "real" me,

That's what everyone else sees,
Ā 

I want to love me,

I want to look at myself,

And not hate what I see,

To not put myself down,
Ā 

I want to see,

The beautiful me,

That everyone else sees...
