I Want so Much to…

I want so much to touch a magpie; and so much to verse, a

Red fox; and Eurasian swan, an African queen. I’m so

Partial, a political deer; and color grey, a masked owl. See

The tern: it flows such melody; and I grip a memory. A

Water dragon, pledges flame; and cryptic voice, a telic wolf.

Such Nubian chants, a grove of geese; and parrot waves, a

Dear reflection. A gecko crosses the fields: I’m sore amazed,

And filled with blinks; and never such joy: to ponder pain;

And never such love, a ‘Wistic dove. I want so much to hold

A tree-creeper; and so much to verse, a tailed deer. Have you

Fed a winged stilt: a touch of thought; and precious heart, a

Blue fox; and witty flare, a black swan. So much to rapture

Life; and so grand to woo the mountains. I want so much to

Touch an eagle; and so much to verse, a peacock.
