I Whimper upon a thorn, for I Long the Immortal Love

I whimper upon a thorn, for I long the immortal love. My
Soul, drenched in thickets. Such effulgence, haunting my
Splintered heart: her beauty, a sacred whetstone. I panic
For her embrace. It’s unto blue-black rain, mizzling the
Soul. Such majesty captured in gestures. Unto wisdom,
Love, an endless cave. Thus I suffer a flickering light.
It’s the cobblestone of blood, a symbolic omen. It’s the motif
Of death, unto tears and sweat. Wherefore, in panic I fell.
Â
In the desert she wept, alone and free, pleading with destiny.
Such splendor, the ache of passion. And her soul, seeping
Into my spirit. Thus my palms, flooded with chaos. It’s a
Flaming storm, starlit with scars. It’s the wrath of thoughts,
Inflicting the heart. It’s a mandolin, serenading the future.
Thus I whimper upon a thorn, for I long the immortal love.Â

Amazing! So many brilliant lines. My favorite, " in the desert she wept, alone and free, pleading with destiny."Â
Yesenia, I thank you for your encouragement. And I am pleased to read that you enjoyed reading it.
Dear Glenn Marchand
As stated by our esteemed Poetess Yesenia Acevedo as above, this is a fabulous verse tailored beautifully with the thorns and burns of love. What we feel affection for has many faces, many souls. It burrows under shades of a tree or dives deep into the ocean. It flies high sometimes, and moves quickly. Sometimes love burns. I love the below lines. My applause, My vote , My nomination
