Poem -

I WILL BE FINE

If I never see another morning
Or hear the roosters voice
Though the birds of the world be silent
And there be no chattering
Or distant noises

I will be fine my love, I will be fine

If the one that birthed me
In eternal darkness sleeps
If the heart from conception that loved me
Beyond earths' foundation weeps

I will be fine my love, I will be fine

Though my offspring like the day
Falls to the night and walk away
Leaving me in sickness and pain
In my old age I will proclaim

I will be fine my love, I will be fine

And when death calls my name
To leave the sunshine behind
And the my departure is chiseled
On that day, in that moment of time

I will be fine my love, I will be fine.
