Poem -
I Will Never
I will never bow my head,
To those who seek to overcome.
I will never yield my ground,
To any who trespass carefree.
I will never speak of ills,
Of my family and friends.
I will never kneel before,
False gods, kings and baubles.
I will never band with bullies,
Cowards and low moral fibre.
I will fight them forever,
I will never, never give up.
And if the odds are unsurmountable,
Then I and many others will die trying.
For a good death is its own reward.

This is such an inspiring message to get out there!! we are becoming far too complacent and lazy 'tv' warriors that we forget the responsibility we have to Society ..to try to shape it into a Society that seeks the most good for the greater number and particularly those unable to seek it for themselves . There is a morality to it..which in recent times seems to be regarded as a 'dirty' word but which actually is the underpinning of a caring Society..keep it up Shaun!

I really enjoyed reading this piece. It's nice to know that there are still people alive who have values and morals they are unwilling to break them just because it is easier to fit in that way in todays world.

And I agree whole heartedly with your principles, it's simply boils down
to a question of choice.
Choose to do nothing or choose to give a damn and make a difference, no matter how hard or painful that choice and moral duty is, for a honest believer can make said difference.
I guess I'm the new kid on the block on here and have a lot of ground to cover and I will begin to read and rate your prose and many more kind members poems who already have been so kind and generous towards me, tonight.
For that is the polite and right thing to do.
