I Wood Walk

I Wood Walk

I Wood WalkĀ

I wood walk for leisureĀ
I wood walk for meĀ
I wood walk and listenĀ
To old woods that creakĀ

I wood walk at daybreakĀ
I would walk and breatheĀ
I wood walk while tastingĀ
The scent of wet leavesĀ

I wood walk and ponderĀ
I wood walk the trailĀ
I wood walk theĀ winterĀ woodsĀ
When I want to feelĀ

I wood walk in rhythmĀ
I wood walk aloneĀ
I wood walk and whistle
As birds sing alongĀ

IĀ knock on theĀ knotted pinesĀ
And walk right on inĀ
Then roam the wooden pewsĀ
Of my church againĀ
