Poem -

I WOULD CHANGE IT IF I COULD

It is what it is and it can't be changed
Nothing can be done so it can be rearranged
Wish it could be every second of the day
Just have to accept it is all I will say

It's been like this for a very long time now
Would change it in an instant would be my vow
I am referring to the suffering of a human being
Homeless and hungry are what I am seeing

The plight of the poor is more common today
Rich folk live very well so they will be okay
I am so grateful for I have food and a bed too
Sparing a thought for the needy how very true
