ICE QUEEN

I AM THE ICE-QUEEN
TOUCH OF MY FINGERS ,FREEZE YOUR SOUL
ONE BLOW OF MY BREATH ,FROSTED WHITE MOLD
DARE DISOBEY MY ORDERS TO COME
A WRATH OF FREEZING ICICLES
IN YOUR HEART BE DONE
DARE TO LIE,FROZEN TEARS YOU WILL CRY
POWER IS MINE,IN ICE-BLUE EYES LOOK AND FIND !
BITTERNESS AND PAIN
FROZEN OVER WITH TIME
TRY ! ENTER MY SPACE
USE YOUR MAGIC ON ME
MELT MY ICE HEART
SET IT FREE
KISS MY BLUE LIPS
WARM MY SKIN WITH YOUR HANDS
DEFROST MY EVIL WITH A FIERY HEAT
MAKE MY HEART ACCEPT THIS MAN !

Wow! This is some of what's missing from modern poetry- the power of myth and legend. How many Europeans are confident enough to embrace this part of their history? According to 'scholars', we're supposed to imagine 'the people of the frozen North' as not having gods of their own (and goddesses!). I hear some people speak of a 'color-blind' society. I personally don't believe that's possible. Here is a woman (Tina Moore) her Nordic roots- daring maybe a 'son of the burning South' to bring fire to her icy heart? Perhaps peace and love is dependent on us embracing each others differences- with no compromising the honor of our ancestors. This poem could be stretched out into a novel or a movie. Full of drama and a hint of the erotic. Bravo, Ice Queen!
thanx james ,a lot of our poems maybe unintentionally bring out our roots ,i don't think color-blind society would work either as differences need to be faced head on to make peace .an ice - heart is not hard to melt given time ,thought and patience .whats wrong with the world as a whole is there is not enough of that , tina x
