Icy thoughts

Winter winds sifting me
cold and hollow is the day.
filled with people unkind.
Fire has no warmth
Wine has no taste.
In motions I am unwound.
Like a stilted clock frozen.
The words die in my throat
The ones that would free meΒ
The frozen tears sparkle on
My cheeksΒ
It is a November I will remember.
It is a moment in timeΒ

I Will survive.
This is a vow I make
A promise to myself.
To resurrect my life
Again.
