I'd Smile for You my Whole Life Long...

I'll never know your story,

or understand your fears,

Or the memories that hurt your heart,

and fill your eyes with tears.

The sadness which remains

across your face cannot be hidden.

Your souls a lonely place,

and my love has strictly been forbidden.

You have accepted that this way of life

is the only way to be.

But I see a light within your heart,

that you don't think I can see.

Use your bright blue eyes to view the beauty in this world -

The sun, the moon, the glistening stars,

A smile from your favorite girl.

We all endure bad moments -

Don't let them transform in to bad days.

I'd smile for you my whole life long,

if it would take your pain away.

This struck a chord with me Rachel!  Sometimes people are so jaded by past hurts they can't wipe them away to accept new love.  Keep smiling, for someone may need it more than you know.  Keep writing!*!*!

I really like this. Sometimes you can see people's pain right through their eyes and smile.
