Idealism

Idealism

I did not
ask why

I guess
what you
feel is
irrelevant

 A Don Johnson's
Miami Vice
wardrobe
ago
My reaction
to criticism
would have
been similar
to a millennial's
one now

A Time Capsule
transcends to
self observation

Idealism
returns
to its purity

If only
for a moment

when my reflection
is seen in your
eyes

Where  having
a DeLorean
take you back
to what could
have been

seems
feasible
and an
October revolution
is a reasonable
call to action
against "the man"

Crossing the pillars
wading neck deep
in worries
vanishes desires
to make a difference
it erases illusions
while providing
realism
as the safe keeper
to survival

Yet the spark
of hope
can change
a
nation.

Both have
their place

Being Me

I agree with Jim in quoting that line. Hope is everything. I like the reference to time by using a popular TV show... that's a very clever and creative idea x
