IF BIRDS COULD TALK

Wouldn't it be cool if birds could talk
Instead all day they coo and squawk
Imagine them having a chat with you
Flying so high literally a bird's-eye view

They must see some things during the day
A shame they can't communicate and say
If birds could talk would they also hear
Soon fly off would be my worry and fear

Before you say I know there's a talking bird
Repeats what you say after every word
I of course refer to the intelligent parrot
Feed mine with birdseed and a carrot

Being a bird I'm thinking is a lovely thing
Going on a garden or field and prettily sing
Something I've considered since my birth
Wonder what they'd make of planet earth
