IF I COULD BUY A DAY
If I could buy a day...
A day you remembered my name...
A day when you held me in your arms...
A day that I made you laugh out loud and the jokeย was only between us...
A day that we have tea and a sweet chat...
A day we would just take a walk...
A day your driving scared me half to death...
If I could buy a day of my life...
I would pay all the tomorrows if thatย was the price to pay...
Whatever the cost...
I would pay the price...
No questions asked...
I would buy that one special day...
Grandma you are always in my heart...

Hello Tony...
My Grandma never pushed me away...
I should have tried to be there more when she went into the nursing home...
Somethings happened to her...
She was placed in a high chair on wheels with straps around her...
When I questioned it...
I was told I am only the Granddaughter who doesn't want to see her Grandma this way...
No one would listen to me...
When I went to see her a few times she was asleep...
The distance was kind of far and I didn't want to bring my kids because they didn't need to see things at their age...
They removed all her teeth and put on a feeding tube...
She passed away 3 years after my Brother...

Oh My God!! FEATHERS!!.......this is extremely difficult to reply to......except to say that I think you did the right thing keeping your kids away from the horror of thatย scenario......I've heard that nusrsing homes and elderly facilities can do som horrible things.....but I've never met anyone with such a sad and tearful story to convey......I am so sorry you had to experience such a thing sweetheart..:...?....Hugs!!.......T xoxo

My Mother's mom was the only one still alive when I was born...
My brothers knew all of them...

Aww this is wonderful Sparrow. I was thinking about a lost love, but when I reached the ending, it just stabbed deeper because it was so close to home. Beautiful and full of sorrow. Hugs, Rebecca
