Poem -

If I could rewrite time

If I could rewrite time

If I could rewriteΒ  time
How far back would I go?
Would I turn back time
To keep you mine?

If I could hang your words like leaves from a gildedΒ  tree
Would they still be thereΒ  speaking your thoughts to me?

If I could preserve an hour
In the face of a flowerΒ
How many flowers
Would my hands hold?

If prophecy wove a spell
And wrapped me In its illusion
How do I break free from that self imposed delusion?

If all rivers flow into the sea
And I stand by the seashoreΒ
Will I witness the blending of the river and the sea?

Without the darkness
We don't see the Light
Without the past
We don't have insight

If I could rewrite the fabric of time
Would I still embroider your name on my heart?
Would I still feel your pull when we are apart?

If I could rewrite timeΒ
I'd let you fly free
BecauseΒ  I know in my heart
You'll return to me.

Superb writing DD.

I especiallylike the lines

If I could preserve an hour
In the face of a flower

And the stanzaΒ

Without the darkness
We don't see the Light
Without the past
We don't have insight

Great work.
