Poem -

IF IT HAPPENED TO YOU

The cardboard box by the shop is a large clue
Somebody's dwelling thank goodness it's not you
How would you cope living on the street
Tattered clothes on your back and no shoes on your feet

I wonder would you beg, borrow and steal
In the hope that you could eat any kind of meal
Day after day rejected by people passing by
Trying to be brave I'm sure you would cry

Offering advice is something I won't pass on and give
Just be thankful for food and somewhere to live
