Poem -

if the man on the moon......

I wonder if,
the man on the moon sleeps,
If so does he dream?
Do you think its in colours?
Black and white maybe,
Does he have music up there,
Or is it silent,
And lonely,
His face looks sad,
When i look up upon him,
Does he envy us down here,
Do you think he cries,
Does he have a birthday,
This man on the moon,
Maybe tomorrow,
I'll send up a balloon,
Where does he go,
When the moon,
is quarter full,
Do you think hes married,
Does he have a daughter who's beautiful,
When he is hungry,
What does he eat,
I'm sure the moon,
made of cheese,
would be a lovely treat,
Does he dance,
Does he even have feet,
he is amazing,
This man on the moon,
Who lights our nights,
Diminishes fright's,
Do you think he ever comes down,
While we are asleep,
To whisper delights within our ears,
Lasting all night long,
His own magic,
Entrancing,
Man on the moon song,
I wonder if he knows,
The man on the moon song,
All kids love to sing,
Does he know he famous,
I wonder if his shyness,
Comes from the surrounding
of beautiful stars.
Is he real?
This man on the moon,
I've known him since i was small,
Even if he's not,
Hes the best loved fable,
of them All.
