Poem -

if only...

im sick of that phrase. those words eat into my brain
like a bad song. i cant get it out.
Like a giant it standing in my way. It stalks me like a lion stalks his prey
low, fierce and ready at all times to attack. oh but not this time. 

I see those words trying to come out; so I run as fast as i can and i stop to see if those words are still staring at me.
if the lion is still hungry enough to keep running. Maybe I didnt make a mistake, maybe i wont regret taking a break. 
then i turn around, and the lion is stirring me down.

if only i kept running.
