If You're Reading
If you're reading you already know
these drips of ink spill for you
bloodied and battered
slayed and splattered
heart songs in red
of the feelings I've had
and always will
whenever I think about you
Far away but oh so close
a journey you chose
all alone
If you're reading you already know
messages sent in a song
coming on too strong
is loving you so wrong
when you write
the turning
and the churning
wash your water downstream
and here I drown
