Ignored

Ignored

I am
not
Their
Style

To be
In the
Spot light

Just
Something
Crusty
And
Old
A symbol
Of fabricated
Oppression

Oprah
Will
Never
Endorse
My Ink
Why should
She

My words
Don't speak
To her
I am not
a part of her
Agenda

I do
Have a
Voice
Though

My words
Do speak
To
The ribs

They are
Unshakeable

my  canvas
Paint
breeds
Facts
Not
Suffocated
With
Gloss
called
Fantasy

I have
Lived
A Minute

My experiences
Are Not
New
Or innovative
Yet
They are
Mine
They
Are
Yours

They are
human

I won't pretend
Progressive
Gaslighting
Is my
Friend

I won't
Blindly
Follow
Capitalistic
Ideology
Ignoring
That It
Too
Have systematically
Oppressed
My brothers
And sisters
In humanity

I will however
Draw
Out my
Quill
And
Stain
Society
With the
Right to be
An
Individual
To speak
Over those
Who
Control

Nothing
Wrong
In being
A patriot

It is here that
I draw the
Line
and will
Not
Submit

when
did having
A passion
For your
Country
Make you
An
Undesirable ?

when did
facts
become
Irrelevant?

Fighting
For social justice
behind a veil
Of untruths
and misrepresentations
widens the divide

there is enough
racism out there
without
having to put
a scarlet letter
on those who
Only sin
Is they
oppose
your Marxist
Mandate

Not everyone
Who perceives
things
differently
is a demon

Some of us
Just want to
Live independently
To breathe
On our
Own
