I'll Listen

For the ear is God's gift,

Along with my heart higher lift,

To a child's cry for help,

Bruised body covered in whelps,

I will listen and shield you from harm,

The sensory in my brain sent an alarm,

A man's last resort is my advice,

She cheated on you more than twice,

I'll listen and steer you to happiness,

The scars she left him horrible distress,

Everywhere there is noise I hear,

My instinct to help is clear,

To any woman, man, or child with no self-worth,

Alcohol and drug abuse, needles to the skin, it hurts,

The mood in me changes I begin to nurture,

Protective armor, no bullet proof vest, just culture,

From a philosophical standpoint beliefs,

An eye tear in my pupil relieves,

I inherit pain in you empathetic,

That's why I listen, don't you get it!

Yet I will research long or small,
