I'M A FREE BIRD

I am changing, growing, learning all the time,
when saying 'yes,' to everything you say,
does it make me - me . . . . .no!
yes for peace, yes for your happiness, not mine,
we can not be right always,
I may be wrong, so can you,
I've come past years learning,
to have peace by a 'yes,'
you need only a 'yes,'
I'm not caged, come learn with me,
not for a 'yes' but no as well,
see the person within me sometimes,
try and please me too,
not wait for 'yes' always from me,
if I can accept 'yes' and no,
so can you my friend.
