I'm hungry, Just another SHARK writer from NJ "SUMMER STEAL" recap

Musta been the style of my hair
Atlantic City luck, we were both there
Same bar same night
The disheartened gamblers, fixated on their plight
Big spenders rolling into town, roll the dice, lay it down
Boardwalk bars, where tainted love was real
But she was something better, a true summer time steal

We tried our luck and sometimes won
We loaded the bullets and misfired the gun
Down here there's two sides on every street, reap what you sowed
I've been paying the price for standing in the middle of the road

"Ride for two"? Said the three wheel push cart
Sign that lights the shore reads, Ace of spades, Jack of hearts
Down on the beach, for a late night run in the sand
Our vices synchronize, to the beat of a circle drum band
"When you gonna give it up to me"? She said
Your love and more, not just a bed of sand on this dirty shore."

We tried our luck and sometimes won
We loaded the bullets and misfired the gun
Down here there's two sides on every street, been carrying this load
A dead mans sure to stand in the middle of the road

It's been years since that day
You did some hard time, the judge wanted it that way
But baby, I know you didn't mean it
We all have broken hearts, we cross some lines, when we try an feed it
I heard your heart finally got full, he's the better man
Guess all that was necessary to win, was to simply hold your hand

We tried our luck and sometimes won
We loaded the bullets and misfired the gun
Down here there's two sides on every street, I got too bold
Standing in the middle of the road
