I'm Time

I'm Time

I can be the first.
I can be the last.
And the only.
I can never be enough.
I can be too much.
I can be on your side.
Or against you.
I can be at the beginning of a fairy tale.
Or many Bible's and prophecies end of.
I can't be smelt.
I can't be heard.
I can be felt of a sort.
I have hands.
And I can be on yours.
I can be a nick.
I can be a stitch.
I can be a point.
I can slip by.
And I can drift away.
I can go back.
And I can move forward.
I can be losing.
I can be gaining.
I can't wait for no-one.
Or no man.
I can tell.
And I can be telling.
I can be in.
I can be out.
I can be sad.
I can be happy.
I can be good.
I can be bad.
I can be historic.
And I can be important.
I can be dark.
I can be enlightened.
I can be a.
I can be next.
I can be the.
I can be this.
And I can be that.
I can run out.
Or be just in.
I can be enough.
Or not enough.
I can be patient.
I can be wonderful.
I can be miserable.
I can be enjoyable.
I can be rewarding.
I can move slowly.
I can really drag.
Or move very quickly.
I can be lovely.
I can be fun.
I can kill.
And I can heal.
I forever march on.
Eternally forwards.
I'm timeless.
I'm time.

The fish of the sea

Wow, Shaun! Such an inventive write. I love explanatory writes about particular themes and understanding the poets perspective on them. This one shines brightly my friend, particularly creative with the repeating line structure and repetition that kept me engaged throughout. Enjoyed this one!

Max good to hear from you and glad you liked it just revamped it a tad here and there.
And always a pleasure to hear from an enlightened poet as your good self.
And just for the record I will have a long looksee at your latest ones tomorrow night and that is a promise now made and I intend to keep my friend for duty calls tomorrow and coming days.
Respect to you Max and that Atlantis one is now called The Black Light Of Atlantis and I'll put up two versions of it , one grim and the other is grimmer!
But I think you'll like both and how they differ, think Tom Clancy meets high-tec Matthew Reilly both overdosing on speed!
I'll  personal message you before upping and revamping the second one a tad, so it'll all be ready to wrap by late next weekish.
And it'll be dedicated to you my friend for all your moral support and for your tireless friendship and lifting my spirits when needed.
For you Max, are a miracle worker and a poetic one at that.
Thanks for everything and is never forgotten.
See you on the poetic flipside late tomorrow night and Max, thanks again man.

It seems to me you just about covered everything here Shaun and whilst sticking firmly to the theme of time throughout, it was darn near impossible to pre-empt what would follow the next I can .. which reminds me I must send the Tag off for its next service :)

Thanks Nev and so nicely put and if you want to sell the old Tag would you accept some magic beans for it, for I know how bloody expensive they are, even secondhand!
Thanks again and respect also for stopping by :)
