Imaginary

Imaginary

He promised me
he loved me
He gave me
A warm brown jacket
He told me
I was beautiful
He showed me
The distant light
He owed me
A moon lit kiss
He found me
Crying in the dark
He asked me
Why I was so sad
He looked at me
And I answered
"Because you are not real"

this is quite good, Devyn, your last line is full of intrigue, and bleeds the question, is anything 'real'? I'm guessing that the last line implies; anything so good could not be real, perhaps that is true....from a personal point of view I've learned that 'real' in a relationship is a two way street and idealism breaks down fast in storms, but it's always good to keep standards and expectations high....enjoyed this write, made me think....cheers
