Imperfection

Imperfection

See imperfections?
Do you even care?
Why am I so worried?
These are clothes I wear.

Blemishes to hide,
Cracked and damaged,
Colored with smiling lips,
Yet inwardly savaged.

My eyes tell the story,
Heartache crushing soul,
Yet pieces cover wounds,
Those memories of old.

Like I've done so long,
Fragments I will hold,
Slices of my past,
These I can't let go.
